How it works
A daily check on your solar panels, and an e-mail only when something is wrong.
Your inverter app is useful when you open it. Solmiro’s job is to check on the days you do not, and to catch the failure that costs the most: an installation that still produces, just quietly less than it should.
How it works, end to end
-
Create an account
With your e-mail address, or with your Google, Microsoft or Apple account. Two minutes.
-
Connect your inverter
SolarEdge, Enphase or Growatt, read-only. We guide you through it and can never change anything on your installation.
-
We check every day
Automatically, in the background: yesterday’s production against the weather over your roof, plus a check that the data is still arriving at all.
-
You hear from us only when it matters
One clear e-mail with what we saw and what to check. Otherwise you hear nothing, and that is the good news.

Every day, we work out what your panels should have produced.
Every morning we take yesterday’s weather over your address (sunshine, temperature, cloud) and compare what your panels should have produced in it with what they did produce. A cloudy week is not an alert. Producing 61 % of what the weather allowed is one, even when your app still shows green.
-
This catches the costly fault: panels that still produce, just far less than they should.
-
We compare your roof with its own history, so shade, orientation and dust do not cause false alarms.
-
Lower output becomes an e-mail only when it lasts several sunny days. If your panels produce nothing at all, you hear the next morning.
-
If your installation stops sending data, you hear from us.
What never becomes an e-mail
-
A cloudy week. Low output in dull weather is normal.
-
A single disappointing day. We wait for a gap that lasts several sunny days.
-
A brand-new installation. The check for lower-than-expected output starts once it has two weeks of its own history.
-
Today. We judge a day once it is over.
Questions about the check
Does it work on a partly shaded roof?
Yes. We compare your roof with its own history, so shade, orientation and dirt are already part of what we expect, and you get an alert only when something changes.
My manufacturer’s app is free. Why pay €2.50 a month?
That app shows you the numbers when you open it, and more hardware detail than we do. Solmiro checks every day, including the days you do not open anything, and e-mails you when production falls short. €2.50 a month comes to €30 a year, roughly what one lost sunny week costs in summer.
How much history do I get to see?
We load the last 30 days as soon as you connect, and then keep every day for as long as you are a customer.
Do I have to install an app?
No. There is nothing to install and nothing to open. Alerts arrive by e-mail; the web portal exists for the days you feel like looking at the graphs, on whatever device you already have.
Who gets told when something breaks
-
SolarEdge
SolarEdge’s own alert guide says only the account manager or admin, usually your installer, can set the alert rules. You get alert e-mails only if the installer has given you permission for your site. The guide describes no comparison with the weather.
-
Enphase
In Enphase’s own worked example, one dead panel on an eleven-panel roof triggers no notification. If a microinverter reports nothing for twelve daylight hours, you see a warning, but only inside the app. You are notified only when at least 10 % of your microinverters have reported nothing for five days in a row, or more than one has produced nothing for five days. A production-drop alert exists only if your installer has set a threshold.
-
Growatt
The ShinePhone app documents no alerts. Alert e-mails from the ShineServer web portal go to the address registered on the installation, which may be your installer’s.
Solmiro writes to you directly, whoever installed your system.
See it on your own roof
Connect your inverter and see your own history before you pay anything — about two minutes, and the access is read-only. €1 switches on the daily check for 14 days, then €2.50 a month, billed yearly (€30 including VAT), and you can cancel online at any time.
